TWiSTAR (The Wisconsin Sport Touring Association Rendezvous)

May 16-18, 2008

Spring Green, Wisconsin

Every year TWiSTAR proves to be a great ride. While Wisconsin isn't renown for great roads, it definitely has some great riding if you know where to ride.

The ride is a 300+ mile turn by turn routed ride over the twistiest most scenic Alphabet roads in south western Wisconsin. The route is put together by a local rider who knows all of the best roads in the area, and takes into account recent road conditions. Typically drawing over 100 riders, participants ride at their own pace with whomever they want to ride and socialize at the planned gas stops, and lunch stop. For riders who would like to have someone else to ride with or to follow during the ride, there will be member assistance partners (MAPs) on the ride to help.

The ride route is available to registered participants in hard copy and GPS form, so you can ride your own ride, without having to worry about keeping up or being slowed down by other riders. For riders who want to follow, without worrying about keeping up or having to pay attention to where the route goes, the event has Member Assistant Partners (MAPs), who make it easy to enjoy the route without having to pay attention to a route sheet or your GPS unit.

Pre-registered participants can get the route for Garmin GPS units a few days before the event by clicking here and sending an email to the event organizers. The GPS version of the route will also be available at the rally for transfer to your computer via USB thumb drive.

A great route, great roads, great folks all add up to a great event. Which we hope to see you at this year!
